Pictures: 7 Times Sarees Ruled The Runway This Year!

Right from January until June, award functions across the country saw divas step out in princess-like gowns and uber chic numbers. However, what caught our attention was the number of actresses who opted for sarees to make a style statement.

Whether it was Sonam in Cannes or Nayathara on the SIIMA red carpet, all the leading ladies draped themselves into the 9 yards to leave a stunning fashion statement.

Also, looks like ivory, off-white and and softer shades have been the most sought after colours for the first half of this year. Simple was the motto on the red carpert.
