When Women Took Center Stage – A Powerful Moment At JFW Movie Awards 2025 !

Celebrating Women, Cinema, and Unforgettable Moments!

The grand 7th edition of Twin Birds JFW Movie Awards took place on 23rd March 2025 at Chennai Trade Centre. The evening was a dazzling celebration of talent, filled with unforgettable moments. It was a one-of-a-kind event that brought together stars from Tamil and Malayalam cinema to celebrate the women in cinema. Adding to the magic were the dynamic hosts RJ Vijay and Diya Menon who entertained the audience with their banter with each other and the stars. 

Every year,  JFW Movie Awards celebrates women who have made a lasting impression on our hearts and minds at the movies. This year, for the special 7th edition, the stage saw a gamut of actors, singers, directors and producers making it a night to remember. The event’s title sponsor was Twin Birds , Powered by Chandrika Ayurvedic Soap, Co-presented by Finesse Mattress and Outdoor Partner Luminas India. 

The event saw many popular and celebrated artists and technicians who came to present the award making the entire celebration even more special.

Following are the winners of JFW Movie Awards 2o25.

Producer of the Year – Tamil 

Archana Kalpathi won the award for Producer of the Year- Tamil for The Greatest Of All Time and the award was presented to her by Dragon director, Ashwath Marimuthu. 

 

Producer of the Year – Malayalam

Supriya Menon won the award for Producer of the Year- Malayalam for Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil and the award was presented to her by Ashwathy Jayaram. 

 

Best Singer – Tamil

The winner of Best singer (Tamil) was Ramya Bhat Abhyankar for Uyire (Amaran) and the award was presented by Vijay Yesudas.

Best Singer- Malayalam

The winner of Best singer (Malayalam ) was Sithara Krishnakumar for  Oru Chillupaathram (Vivekanandan Viralaanu) and the award was presented by Vijay Yesudas.

 

Best Director of a Woman-led Film – Tamil

Suman Kumar won the award for Best Director of a Woman-led film for Raghu Thatha and the award was presented by Namita and Theni Eswar.

 

Best Director of a Woman-led Film – Malayalam

Christo Tomy won the award for Best Director of a Woman led film for Ullozhukku and was presented to him by Namita and Theni Eswar.

 

Best Actress in a Comic Role – Tamil

Devadarshini won the award for Best Actress in a Comic Role for Raghu Thatha and the award was presented by Nirosha.

 

Best Actress in a Comic Role- Malalayam

Grace Antony won the award for Best Actress in a Comic Role for Nunakkuzhi and the award was presented by Devadarshini.

 

Best Actress in a Supporting Role – Tamil

Swasika won the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Lubber Pandhu and the award was presented by Jayaram.

 

Best Actress in a Supporting Role – Malayalam

Seema won the award for Best Actress in a supporting role for Pani and the award was presented by Jayaram.

 

Best Actress in an OTT Series – Tamil

Sriya Reddy won the award for Best Actress in an OTT series for Thalaimai Seyalagam and the award was presented by Director Vasantha Balan.

Best Actress in an OTT Series – Malayalam

Nikhila Vimal won the award Best Actor in an OTT series for Perilloor Premiere league and the award was presented by Ashwathi Jayaram and Mukesh R Mehta.

Best Actress in a Negative Role- Tamil

Simran won  the award for Best Actress in a negative role for Andhagan and the award was presented to her by all actresses who came for the award, making the moment truly extraordinary.

Best Actress in a Negative Role- Malayalam

Maala Parvathy won the award for Best Actress in a Negative role for Mura and the award was presented by Nirosha.

 

Best Actress in a Woman-Led Film – Tamil

Keerthy Suresh won the award for Chandrika Glow with Confidence Best Actress in a Woman led film for Raghu Thatha and the award was presented by Actress Sheela and Mr. Bharath Kumar, Wipro consumer care.

Best Actress in a Woman-led Film – Malayalam

Parvathy won the award for Chandrika Glow with Confidence Best Actress in a Woman led film (Malayalam ) for Ullozhukku and the award was presented by Poornima Bhagyaraj and Mr. Bharath Kumar, Wipro consumer care.

Best Debutante- Tamil

Sri Gouri Priya won the award for Best Debutante (Tamil) for Lover and the award was presented by Manikandan.

Best Debutante- Malayalam

Krithi Shetty won the award for Best Debutante for A.R.M and the award was presented by Keerthy Suresh.

 

Best Film – Tamil

Lubber Pandhu won Best film of the year and was awarded to Harish Kalyan, Swasika and Sean Roldan and it was presented by Pushkar and Gayatri.

Best Film- Malayalam

Aattam won Best film of the year and was awarded to Anand Ekarshi and Zariin Shihab and was presented by Sean Rolden and Basil Joseph.

Best Actress Critic – Tamil

Dushara Vijayan won the award for  Best Actress Critics for Raayan and the award was presented by Sundeep Kishan and Mr. Sanjay Sankar & Mr. Dhanistan , Finesse Fine Mattress .

Best Actress Critic – Malayalam

Amala Paul won the award for Best Actress Critics for Level cross and the award was presented by  Rajukmar Periasamy.

 

Man of the Year – Tamil

G V Prakash was presented with Man of the Year and the award was presented by Aadhik Ravichandran.

 

Man of the Year – Tamil

Rajukumar Periasamy was presented with Man of the Year and the award was presented by Bhagyaraj.

 

Man of the Year- Malayalam

Chidambaram was presented with Man of the Year and the award was presented by Amala Paul.

 

Man of the Year – Malayalam

Basil Joseph was presented with Man of the Year and the award was presented by Sheela and Keerthy Suresh.
