Roja Selvamani used to be an actress in the South, she has joined politics now and is an active member. The ex-minister made personal comments against her which is not going to be tolerated in our country. It talks about male privilege and how women’s characters are assassinated by men like this.
Radikaa Sarathkumar took to Instagram to share a video where she openly condemns this act and stands by Roja Selvamani. She says that this act of making unnecessary comments on her character and personal life will not be tolerated. In a country that’s fighting for women’s reservation, acts like this should be brought under the light. Men can’t get away with saying things like this. She even goes on to say that she makes a plea to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take strict action against situations like this. If our women aren’t safe as a public figure, how will the general public feel same in an environemnt where men dare to indulge in such cheap behaviour, how are we going to progress as a nation? In the video, she says that she stands by he colleague and friend Roja. She feels sad, hurtful and angry at the comments made by the ex-minister.
