Check out these 8 actresses who set fire to the ramp with their attitude and fashionable designs!
Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of late actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, isn’t new to the whole Lakme Fashion Week scene. Last year, she attended the event with her mother and had set fashion goals even before making her onscreen debut. Needless to say, this star kid was a massive hit while she sashayed down the ramp for designer Nachiket Barve on the third day of the event. Part of Nachiket’s Millennial Maharanis collection, Janhvi made her LFW debut with such grace that she was the talk of all town on social media the entire time.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kareena Kapoor Khan walked the ramp for designer Monisha Jaising on the final day and slayed her way through. Being the showstopper on the last day of the event, Kareena made all the heads turn with not just her toned figure, perfect hair or outfit, but with the attitude that very few models posses. She stood out and her outfit gave off total mermaid vibes, glistening and shining on the ramp. Sans jewellery and a simple hairstyle of loose beach waves, Kareena was nothing short of perfection!
Catch Kangana Ranaut make quite a statement on stage. Wearing a midnight blue double mesh gown designed by Pankaj and Nidhi, more than the outfit’s leather work and blue elements around, it was Kangana’s eyes and ferocity on the ramp that caught everyone’s attention. Remember how she stole the show in the film Fashion? Turns out, she’s even better when actually walking on stage!
If there’s one thing that actress/singer and star kid Shruti Haasan can carry off with is are anything to do with grunge. Be it the brown lipstick often associated with the theme or the outfit and hairdo. Walking for designers Saaksha and Kinni at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2018 for the collection titled ‘Raas’, Shruti was a revelation when she appeared in a frilly bronze-coloured outfit with layers of threads as a belt and an elegantly sleek-meets-messy hairstyle.
Neha Dhupia & Angad Bedi
Parents-to-be Angad Bedi and Neha Dhupia were the most adorable ones at the fashion show. On the fifth day of the event, Neha Dhupia walked the ramp along with her husband and sported her baby bump with such glee. The two walked together for designer Payal Singhal and shared cute moments while on stage. Power couple indeed!
South actress Kajal Aggarwal walked the ramp for designer Nishika Lulla in a loose, haltered-neck maroon coloured outfit with a subtle addition of bling around. What was refreshing was that she didn’t go over-the-top with her make-up and kept her hair simple. While it was a little more low-key compared to what others dressed up as for the event, Kajal managed to make heads turn with her charm.
All of 45, Malaika Arora continues to give massive fitness goals to everybody. Walking the runway for designer Anusha Reddy, her outfit was a gorgeous star-studded lehenga and also keeps up with the season’s favourite colour – citric green! For someone who began her career as a model, walking the ramp was a piece of cake for her and with her fitness on point, she was one of the best parts of the event that day.
Bollywood actress and former beauty queen Sushmita Sen walked the ramp for Sunita Shanker in a new-age saree that had all the elements of tradition and modern wrapped up in less than 9 yards. A variety of colours that complemented her straight hair and minimal make-up, Sushmita didn’t look out of place one bit and she sure looked fun walking the ramp.
