Here’s How You Can Include Pantone’s Colour Of The Year To Your Daily Life!

Coral is the new black!

On December 6, Pantone Color Institute announced its new color of the year – Living Coral, making 2018’s Ultra Violet a thing of the past. The colour is not just beautiful, it evokes a sense of richness when you peer into. Describing why they chose this colour, they wrote:

“Just as coral reefs are a source of sustenance and shelter to sea life, vibrant yet mellow Living Coral embraces us with warmth and nourishment to provide comfort and buoyancy in our in our continually shifting environment.”

A royal hue of red, it’s not vibrant enough to make you squint but it certainly has a mellow effect.

Now that we know the colour of the year, here’s how you can add this colour to your wardrobe, home, and imbibe it in your daily life!

Wardrobe

The colour makes for a subtle outfit to a grand do. You can wear a long dress of this colour that hangs loose and yet flatters your body. And if you’re a bride to be, try this colour out where you don’t have to adhere to conventions of white or red and simply opt for this calm colour that pleases the eye. If it isn’t for you, then maybe your bride’s maids could rock it for your big day. Either way, the colour is such that it goes with every skin shade whether you’re fair skinned, wheatish in complexion or dark skinned.

Take Deepika Padukone, for instance, who wore this gorgeous Bibhu Mohapatra gown that made her look regal in it.

The colour has also been a favourite among international celebrities wearing it for prestigious events such as the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes, and other noteworthy ones.

And it’s a popular favourite colour in sarees, too. Esha Gupta wore it this year, an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla saree for a Diwali party. Talk about being glam!

Shoes, too, are a favourite to bring out your inner sea goddess. Coral coloured shoes like Louboutins and Steve Maddens, wearing them with dark outfits such as black or even as bright as white and yellow!
