Having made her debut opposite Sarath Kumar, Nayanthara’s role in Ayya was that of a small town girl. Staying true to her on-screen role, the actor managed to carry the same persona off-screen as well which led most people to see her for a homely girl next door. There was major transformation in her look for the movie Ghajini. Playing the role of a college student she ditched the long locks and went for a rather glammed up look with a visibly  overdrawn lip and bold eyes as opposed to her previous characters. 

 

 

Although Ghajini was a welcome change both in terms of character and style, her major breakthrough was with Billa. With her bikini-clad look Nayanthara managed to turn up the heat like never before. Through and through this movie was lauded for its style quotient and her character Sasha was no different, let it be the dramatic sunglasses or the body-con dresses this character set her apart from her contemporaries.
