The week had stars making fashion statements and blunders, so we bring you the best and the worst dressed of the week. From wearing traditionals to funky Indo-western outfits, here are actresses styling it up with each event they head to!
Andrea Jeremiah has been trying out a variety of traditional looks the past few months. For the press meet of her last film ‘Vada Chennai’, she wore a gorgeous and understated saree and kept it simple. This week, however, she goes a bit too traditional and nails it! Right from her sleek bun to the jewellery and the simple yet elegant silk saree, Andrea manages to be her usual classy self and inspires you to pick the saree in your closet and pair it up for a traditional evening!
While Keerthy Suresh has been playing it safe in terms of her wardrobe, this week she goes a bit extra and boho. We absolutely love this dual design in her saree that is a major departure from her usual sarees, a more vibrant pick from all the sober colours she’s been sporting lately. Her make-up, too, goes beyond nude and tries a bit of mellowed grunge to complement the blouse and jewellery.
Aditi Rao Hydari
When it comes to Indian wear, Aditi Rao Hydari never disappoints. Right from her footwear to jhumkas and her outfit, she ensures that she wears something that not just suits her but brings out the best in her, and that’s awesome. However, this week, eventhough it’s a gorgeous Tarun Tahiliani outfit, we wish she would go beyond white, beige and cream colour that’s often mixed with a tinge of gold and bling. It’s a rather safe choice because it’s obvious that she would carry it off too well.
Verdict: Could do with a bit of vibrancy
If the last few weeks had Hansika letting her hair loose with gowns, this week she opts for sarees. And some really good one’s at that. The first one is a tribute to vintage sarees from a bygone era, that reminds you of all the elegant floral designer sarees that women of those times used to wear for events. Here, she goes extra and nails it with her jewellery too!
She wore two sarees this week and the yellow one is a more fun one, where she tries a bit with her loose wavy hair and slightly experimental make-up.
Pink and happy is what describes Rakul Preet in this fun looking jumpsuit. The fact that it’s more about the outfit and less about accessorizing is a huge win. Mad props to those stunning shoes too!
Verdict: Definitely yay!
Since it’s been established that Samantha has become a bit of a fashionista, she hasn’t made terrible dressing choices. This one, too, is quite a classy number where she pairs white with white but with a much-needed twist. Pants that look comfy and a blouse that is a classy affair, we’re glad she’s kept her hair’s length short and fun, and make-up simple and easy.
