Andrea Reveals Her Skincare Secret and It is so Easy to Follow!

Like most others, Andrea spent more time in her kitchen during the lockdown than she has ever before in her life. The artist has been cooking, baking and keeping herself busy than ever before.  “I’ve spent the better part of two months in my kitchen, I’ve realised that cooking is a labour of love. And baking is so therapeutic! I’m proud of myself for coping and picking up these extremely important life skills.” she told us on how she’s been spending her days lately.

Recently, the Actress took to Instagram to post about her favorite face mask, which has become a part of her lockdown skincare routine. “How many of you love #orangejuice? I know I do, most ppl use the pulp and throw away the peel, but not me, I really know how to SQUEEZE the most out of my oranges (pun intended)”  wrote the artist. The actress further explained about how she has a very sensitive skin and that she can never do a facial. Then how you wonder she has a flawless healthy skin? She uses natural ingredients from kitchen to whip up chemical free face-mask. Here is a step-by-step guide to making an orange peel face-mask courtesy Andrea.

Three Ingredient Face Mask for hydrated Healthy skin:

ingredients: dried orange peel powder, yoghurt & honey.

  1. First you dry the orange peels, then you grind them to a powder(this stays good for a long time)
  2. Add a dollop of yoghurt ( any yoghurt is fine)
  3. Few drops of honey. Mix it up and apply to your face.. wash it off once it dries! Your skin will feel brand new

Papaya + Honey

Mix one cup of chopped papaya mashed finely with two tablespoons of honey. Apply it evenly on your face and neck. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then rinse with cold water. This simple face pack will leave your kin glowing instantly.

For people with oily, acne-prone skin to prevent breakouts on your face try the cleansing mask. To the same mixture you can add one spoon of lemon juice and a spoon of fuller’s earth ie multani mitti to form a paste.

Banana

Banana is great for keeping the skin hydrated and smooth; due to the presnsce of the enzyme silica in it. Banana peel also has several beneifts; from reducing acne scars, brighten skin, reducing wrinkles etc. placing a banana peel on closed eyes reduce puffiness.

You can apply the fruit just as it is by mashing it to form a paste. Apply the pasted evenly to your face and skin and let it set for 10-15 minutes before you rinse it off. You can add ¼ cup of curd, 2 tablespoon honey to a medium sized smashed banana for a natural more moisturized skin. This pack is also great for reducing skin blemishes.

Strawberry Facial Mask


8 to 9 strawberries
2 tablespoons honey

Mash strawberries. Add honey and mix well. Spread over face. Leave on for 25-30 minutes and rinse with cool water.

Note: This mask may be irritating for those with sensitive or sunburned skin.
