The sun is upon us and the sweltering heat that the summers bring is here. It’s time to bring the linen pants and the cotton churidars out and switch your wardrobe to a more summer-friendly one. The last two years have been a blur, we invested in comfortable home-wearing loungewear which made sense since the pandemic had hit us. But this year, the skies seem clearer and the options to go out and about are so many more. An evening stroll at the beach or brunch at your favorite café, there is a reason to get dressed now.

 

Let’s look at the options you have to beat the heat this summer looking fabulous as ever.

 

  1. Wrap dresses

Wrap dresses are flattering on most body types, it accentuates the curves and is the perfect outfit for this season. Simple cotton printed ones are very popular this year. Young Indian brands promoting Indian weaves and fabrics make the most beautiful dresses. This is the right time to get your hands on some wrap dresses that are surely not going to disappoint.

In the last couple of years, we saw a lot of celebrities and influencers dressed in casual coords. It’s a great option for any occasion, vacation, party, beaches, and lounging. You could mix up prints or wear the same prints, look for solid options, it’s about how bold you want your statement to be. There is a pair of Coords for everyone. The USP of this ensemble is that it’s flexible, if you want a well-fitted one or a loose fit, you can opt for something you feel in sync with.

  1. Linen pants

Ditch the jeans in this weather and invest in some good-quality linen pants in neutral shades. This will build your wardrobe and stay a staple this season. Pair them with crop tops or a loose Kurti and you are good to go. A great replacement for the versatile denim but appropriate for this weather.

A knit long t-shirt could be worn with nude trousers or a short white denim skirt could be worn with a crisp white cotton shirt.

Skirts are airy, light and the perfect summer essential. Mid-length skirts are the rage now since they can be worn for a meeting as well as a dinner date. They are versatile and can be thrown in for any function, casual, formal, or even festive. Celebrities have been rocking the trend during promotions, vacations, and dine-outs.

 

  1. Maxi dresses

We are ready to trade pants for anything basically, and a flowy long dress is the cutest pick. Floral prints, monochromes, geometric prints, or a sleek solid color, maxi dresses are available at every store during this season. A well-fitted sheath style or an asymmetric one, dresses can be customized to your style and accessorized to add that fashionista feel to your attire.

  1. Oversized shirts

Grab a shirt from your boyfriend’s wardrobe and style it with tailored shorts, and jeggings or wear it as a dress. The loose fit goes well with the season and is a stylish fuss-free outfit. Wear a bralette and loose pants with the shirt for a casual lounge look or with a cinched belt over the shirt and high heels for a party look.
