Quick Tips
- Don’t pour water directly into the soil. Spray the plants and let the water flow down.
- Don’t place your plants in cold draughty areas or near air conditioner vents.
- To check if the plant needs watering, stick your finger in the mud. If the finger comes out dry, it is time to water. If you find soil sticking to your finger, it means the soil still has some moisture in it.
- Adding sheets of old newspaper between layers of soils helps to keep the pot moist for longer.
- Used tea bags make excellent fertilizers for your plants.
- If your plant is sitting in a dark corner, you could let it sit in the morning sun for 4-5 hours to keep it healthy.
