Though this movie was not a commercial success, it is one of the cult classic of Indian cinema industry. This is a story of two politicians who begin their career together, grow big in their field and then fall apart due to their ego and hunger for power. Sometimes we have an invisible competition with someone in our life and this story is about that relationship. Mohanlal and Prakashraj are always aware of each other and follow what the other does. The story concludes with Mohanlal’s death and Prakashraj in a epic monologue tells us, how much his friend really meant to him. This movie was loosely based on the friendship and rivalry that MGR and Karunanidhi shared.
