  1. Thalaimai Seyalagam – Zee 5

Directed by G Vasantha Bala, and starring Kishore, Sriya Reddy, Bharath, Ramya Nambeesan and Kani Kusruti, the series is a functional political thriller. The story is a political controversy that revolves around the chief minister of Tamil Nadu who is under trial for a corruption case. This brings up issues within the party, does he lose his position? If yes, who is next in line? Multiple incidents in the present and past tie the story up. 

 

2. Bridgerton Season 03 Part 1- Netflix

Following the story of Penelope and Colin, the third installment in the Bridgerton series is anticipated by many. Every season before this, including the spin-off Queen Charlotte is heavy on romance, lust and emotions. This season is split into 2 parts, the first part is only 4 episodes long, the perfect binge-watch this weekend. 

3. Atlas – Netflix

Starring Jennifer Lopez, Simu Liu and Sterling K Brown, the movie is a fantasy thriller that is set in a time where AI has advanced and evolved and is out there to attack us. This sci-fi adventure is a great watch this weekend if you are a fan of the genre or the fantastic and evergreen Jennifer Lopez. 

4. Madame Web – Netflix

The Spiderman spin-off stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb who is a psychic paramedic and has visions about three young women,  Julia Cornwall (Sydney Sweeney), Mattie Franklin (Celeste O’Connor), and Anya Corazon (Isabela Merced).  While the movie didn’t go well when it was released in the theatres, you could watch it on OTT and decide how it fares for yourself

5. Baahubali: Crown Of Blood – Disney + Hotstar

Created by SS Rajamouli and Sharad Devarajan, the animated series of Bahubali is a prequel to the movies. The series consists of 9 episodes, 22-30 minutes long. The series takes you through the events that take place before the film, Baahubali and Bhallaladeva are fighting the enemy and they discover some dark secrets in the process.
