The actress splits her time and shuttles between her house in Liverpool and her two bedroom apartment overlooking the Arabian Sea in Mumbai and Chennai. On whether she has managed to make a home for herself in Chennai, she says, “No, I haven’t found the time yet to make myself a home here. It is quite shocking because I see the amount of time I spend here and it feels like a crime not having a home! So as of now, I am leading the gypsy life and living out of suitcases. It is exhausting but hopefully, soon I will be able to make some time to make me a home here. Ask about audience response and she gets very excited. “I never thought I would see the day of so much appreciation. The city has accepted me with open arms and it is fulfilling to see the reaction of the people towards me. Funnily enough, I also get letters from guys declaring their undying love for me and some even propose marriage! I have probably had more than 1,000 letters since I have been here.”

” Her love for animals comes across very evidently as she actively posts pictures of her pets on her social media accounts. Quiz her on the love for animals and she says, “I am a huge animal lover. Back in the UK, I have dogs, cats, birds and even horses. We have a farm there so there is sufficient space for them. I do want to have a pet here but seeing that I am constantly travelling, caring for them would be difficult and I don’t want them to be miserable. I am also a part of PETA and actively take part in protecting them in whatever way I can.”

Amy currently has her hands full with back to back movies. She is doing Vijay59 with Atlee and the shoot is currently on. She will also be seen with Dhanush in Thangamagan and with Udayanidhi in Gethu. There are rumours of her doing Endhiran 2 but nothing has been confirmed yet.
