Trisha Krishnan did her schooling in the famous Church Park Convent in Chennai and her college in Ethiraj College for Women. Trisha started her career in modelling and won several beauty pageants including Miss Madras.
She was first approached by Priyadarshan for Lesa Lesa, but the project got delayed and the first movie which released was Aamir’s Mounam Pesiyadhe opposite Surya in 2002. The movie was an instant hit with a different story line! Her delayed movies Enakku 20, Unnaku 18 and Lesa Lesa released after the blockbuster hit Saamy in which Trisha starred opposite Vikram.
She then made her Telugu debut in 2004 with the mega hit Varsham. She was an overnight star in the Telugu film industry. Same year she gave another blockbuster in Tamil with Ghilli starring opposite Vijay. The film was the highest grossing movie of that year and is Trisha’s biggest commercial success so far.
Trisha appeared in a much appreciated role in Mani Ratnam’s Ayutha Ezhuthu opposite Siddharth.
Another huge commercial success was Something Something, Unnakum Ennakum in 2006.
Trisha has worked all the big heros in both Tamil and Telugu industry and has been the favorite among directors!
By playing the lead character ‘Jessie’ in Gautam Menon’s Vinnaithandi Vaaruvaya she set the box office records on fire! It was sort of a breakthrough role for her as the character was nothing like what she had portrayed before.
She was Venkat Prabhu’s first choice to star opposite Ajith in another blockbuster Mankatha.
She looked absolutely gorgeous in Gautam Menon’s last Yennai Arindhal, when she played a dancer-mom named Hemanika.
Trisha is currently expecting the release of her next film Nayaki.
