Kajal Aggarwal Might Essay This Controversial Character From ‘Ramayana’!!

Details here!

South Indian actress Kajal Aggarwal might just play the role of Surpanakha, the sister of Ravana from the Hindu mythology Ramayana. According to several reports, the actress is likely to play the role for director Bhargav’s film. Bhargav is a National Award-winning animation filmmaker, and will reportedly make this film from Surpanakha’s perspective.

It is said that the actress is quite excited about the role as it is not only meaningful but is far different from the usual roles she portrays. The storyline, too, seems quite interesting, as most filmmakers would rather focus on the righteous Ram, Lakshman, and Sita, with Surpanakha regarded as a villain and sidelined.

In Valmiki’s Hindu epic, Surpanakha is looked at as a demon of sorts often described as someone with a pot belly, cross-eyed, a harsh voice and oversized breasts. However, over the years, several versions have come out where Surpanakha has been described as anything but villainous.

Meanwhile, Kajal is currently filming for the Tamil remake of the Bollywood film Queen that had Kangana Ranaut in the lead. The Tamil version, titled Paris Paris, is shot in Karur, Tirupur and Paris and directed by Ramesh Aravind.
