Kabali‘s teaser has been setting records since it released on May 1st. It  gained more than 5 million views in 22 hours and made history. Now the teaser has become the most viewed teaser in India! It has grossed more than 17.1 million views surpassing the records of Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 and Salman Khan’s Sultan.

Why such a buzz around Kabali? The movie is a one of a kind Rajinikanth film as the actor will be seeing playing his age. His character is based on real life don Kabaleeswaran. Kochadaiyaan and Lingaa, Rajini’s previous releases did not do well at the box office and there is a lot of expectation on Kabali. Also, the film is directed by Pa. Ranjith whose last movie Madras took the box office by storm.
