Trisha’s horror-thriller comedy Mohini, wherein the actress plays a ghost in the film, will be released soon. Reports state that the only step that needs to be complete is getting a green signal from the release regulation committee of Tamil Film Producers Council.

The director has said that the film has not garnered any objections from the censor committee, considering that the film’s theme is about justice and has society in mind.

Mohini marks Trisha’s third venture in the genre after Aranmanai and Nayagi. Far from her girl-next-door image, Trisha plays a woman whose body dies but not her soul. Directed by Ramana Madhesh, the film, apart from Trisha, also stars Bollywood actor Jackky Bhagnani, Yogi Babu, Suresh, and Poornima Bhagyaraj.

Trisha was last seen making her Malayalam debut in the film Hey Jude with Nivin Pauly. She has a slew of projects in the pipeline including Garjanai – the Tamil remake of the Hindi film NH10, Sathuranga Vettai 2 with Arvind Swami, and 96 with Vijay Sethupathi.
