In a tragic case, a 21-year-old Delhi University student committed suicide by hanging herself. Reports suggest, the student left a suicide note which stated that her ex-boyfriend threatened to leak her private pictures and videos online if she didn’t get back to him. The incident occurred in North Delhi’s Roop Nagar area on April 9 and her ex is now booked for abetment to suicide.

The couple in question were staying in the same locality and fell in love with a promise of marriage. The girl refused to go with him to Patna and hence they broke up. Reportedly, the student had filed a rape case against her ex on the day of the extreme step taken by her.

The 21-year-old was from Madhya Pradesh and came to Delhi to pursue her Bachelors degree in Commerce. A police officer looking into the case said,”Investigation has revealed that the two were in a relationship for three years but their families did not approve of it. The accused was forcing the woman to leave her family and go with him to Patna. But she was not willing.”
