Everybody loves a good fresh out of the oven muffin; still warm and gooey with just the right amount of sweetness. Whether you are a beginner or an amateur, you will love these easy bake recipes for traditional English eats on any given day!

Old School Vanilla Muffins


  • 125 g butter

  • 125 g powdered sugar

  • 125 g all-purpose flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla essence


  • Preheat your oven to 180 C. Line a muffin pan with cupcake liners and keep aside.

  • Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla essence and beat again.

  • Sift flour and baking powder into this mix and beat again for 3-4 minutes. Spoon the batter into the cupcake liners.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes till done. Allow the muffins to cool for 15 minutes before removing them from the muffin pan.

Eggless Wheat Flour Cake


  • 2 cups wheat flour

  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 2 cups brown sugar

  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • 1 cup curd

  • ¾ cup water

  • 2/3 cup cooking oil


  • Preheat oven to 200 C.

  • Mix together wheat flour, cinnamon, brown sugar, baking soda and baking powder in a bowl.

  • Blend curd, water & oil in another large bowl. Mix the contents of both bowls together and blend well.

  • Grease an

    8 inch

    cake tin with oil and pour the batter into this tin.

  • Bake for 30 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool for 15 minutes on a wire rack.
