5 Effective Ways To Work From Home!

Making it work!

Set Up Your Desk:

It’s important that you create an environment that will help you feel at work. Set up a work desk at your home a place that is to say away from your bed, refrigerator, television or any form of disturbance. Choose a place that is next to a window. Having a fixed workplace will also help save time.

Be Easily accessible:

Stay in touch with your boss and teammates. Be easily reachable. Hold regular meetings to set up a weekly schedule.

Set Boundaries:

While spending time with family is key during quarantine, it’s important that you set boundaries with your them while working, so you don’t get distracted. This would mean letting them know your work timings and that you will not be available during the set time.

Identify what needs to get done every day and make sure to do it. Have a task board to list out your daily work to be done and a personal to-do list. At the end of the day make sure that all of it is ticked off. It doesn’t matter if your day goes interrupted or not, if by the end of the day you are done with your work.

Get dressed

While you might assume that PJs work just as well for a work from home wardrobe, remember it’s important to dress apart to feel apart. Not to be all buckled up with formals and shoes, but a quick shower, neat hair and crisp fresh clothes will help you feel ready for the work ahead.

Pretend you’re not home. Don’t answer your home phone, personal calls, call from friends or door during business hours. It might just be for a minute but will reduce your focus. Let’s not take any chance to slack-off!
