The annoyed money-lender has asked for his money back a lot of times and has even gone to their house multiple times. This time he went along with some of his friends- Sai Ram, Raju, Venkat, Swaroop, and his own son.
The CCTV footage of the abduction is rather chilling to watch. The video shows the young woman being dragged with a man on either side of her. As she is being dragged, three bikes are following the trio. As they turn to the right and vanish, a man is seen running. Probably he was chasing the men down. It is sad to notice that other than that one man, nobody else seems to even care the least.
According to the police, “M Srinivas used to visit the victim’s house frequently. However, on Monday, he visited the victim’s house along with the other accused. When he did not get his money back, he said that the victim will remain in his custody till her husband pays him the money back.”
Using the footage, the police confirmed the registration numbers of the vehicles used. The police then alerted toll points and finally on Tuesday three of the accused- M Srinivas, Raju, and Sai Ram were arrested. The other three escaped. The police also said, “The victim sustained some injuries while they dragged her on the road. They also slapped and beat her up.”
Thankfully the police caught the abductors within hours and did not let the poor woman suffer. Kudos to the Indian police.
