Chennai Girl Who Went Missing Is Back Home Safe!

She came back.

28-year-old Gaanam Nair who was reported missing since Friday has returned home today. According to a police source, “She was reportedly in depression. We are investigating.”

The entire social media was set ablaze with posts of the Chennai-based model’s disappearance. The issue even became a Twitter trend this morning.

Gaanam is a marketing manager at a salon in Nungambakkam. She lives with her aunt and cousins. Her mother died a few years ago and her father lives in Delhi. She left her house in Virugambakkam on her black Activa to work, but never reached. Her phone had been switched off ever since her disappearance.

In March, Gaanam Nair had used Facebook to post about a lover, “A tear rolls down, from both our eyes, at the same time. My lips quivering, crying, I’m trying to prepare you, pulling myself up. But I give up the next minute. You slap me. You slap me crying, desperate, ‘Get up Gaanam, get up’.” Apparently, investigators feel that this could be a possible reason for her going missing.

“We understand she had marriage related issues with her family and had some health issues as well,” said an investigator. However, one of her relative dismissed the accusation.
