Vetrimaaran’s Dhanush starrer Asuran was one of the most talked-about, acclaimed and biggest blockbusters of 2019, wowing audiences with grit, action, and thrill. Srikanth Addala, who last directed the 2016 Mahesh Babu feature Brahmotsavam, is helming the Telugu remake of the movie titled Naarappa, starring popular Tollywood actor Venkatesh Daggubati playing Dhanush’s character of the original.

Naarappa’s first look was released on twitter by Suresh Productions, who are bankrolling the film, and the post went viral almost immediately, with fans and celebrities alike raving about Venkatesh’s fierce look in the promotional pictures.

Among the many who reacted to the pictures, Venkatesh’s own nephew Rana Daggubati and his niece in law Samantha Akkineni are also going crazy over his look.

Sharing the pictures from her twitter account, Samantha wrote in the caption “Fierce Venky Mama slaying it with #Naarappa Can’t wait to see him in action!!”, referencing the 2019 hit Venky Mama in which Venkatesh starred alongside his nephew and Samantha’s husband Naga Chaitanya. Rana Daggubati wrote “Victory V in & as#Naarappa.”, after Venkatesh’s popular moniker Victory Venkatesh.

Naarappa will mark the actor’s 74th movie and will be his solitary release of the year. Although Dhanush set the bar very high with his acting in Asuran, Venkatesh and his fans would certainly expect nothing else than another blockbuster!
