Vanitha Vijayakumar SLAMS Trolls; Says No One Should Judge A Woman For Getting Married Or Divorced!

Well said, Vanitha!

Vanitha Vijayakumar has been in the film industry for a long time now and she never ceases make it to the headlines. Be it a property dispute with her family or her estranged relationships, Vanitha’s professional and personal life always makes news but the actress has always held a confident and a bold attitude to such news. She has always been straight-forward and courageous about her opinions and that garnered her a lot of followers when she contested in the popular reality show Bigg Boss.

Recently, the actress is in news now for yet another personal reason. It has been reported thay she is getting married but there were no confirmations from her side. In an exclusive with JFW, Vanitha confirmed that she is indeed getting married. “Yes, I am very much getting married. In fact, I am extremely happy and excited for this new beginning in my life,” stated Vanitha. She further added that the wedding would be with Mr. Peter Paul. She shared on social media about how she fell in love and even her daughter Jovitha turned out to be supportive of her.

However, Vanitha is being trolled on social media for marrying “a third time” and in an interview with The Times of India, Vanitha opened up about marrying again and how people fall low to demean a woman. “Forget the decision to get married again, society still criticises women for getting out of toxic relationships. I went through it for years, but couldn’t speak about it as I didn’t want to hurt anyone. I had no support from my family then. After struggling for a few years, finally, I said no when I felt I couldn’t take it anymore. Families should be more supportive. And someone getting divorced or even marrying for the 100th time shouldn’t be anyone’s business. There are people who find problems irrespective of whether we have kids or not, a husband or not. People should be kinder and supportive,” she said.

She also talked about how her daughter’s note to her left her in tears. “I was in tears after reading it. She just turned 15 this year — she has been reading a lot, watching films and even trying her hand at scriptwriting. And the note was beautiful and unexpected. I came across a few comments, asking why a daughter has to post something like this on social media and why can’t we express our feelings directly to each other. All I can say is, sometimes, display of affection in public makes you feel special. I’ve never experienced it. My children protect me like no one ever did. When I have an issue, they stand up for me like Bãhubali,” stated Vanitha.

She further talked about falling in love and how beautiful the moments have been, “Well, I met him in December. He is a VFX technician and was toying with the idea of making his directorial debut. I met him in his office when he said I have a role to play in his project. Initially, it was his commitment for the profession which impressed me. As days passed by, we got to know more about each other and I found him to be a dedicated person, who is also caring and genuine. My decision to say ‘yes’ wasn’t a spur-of-the-moment one.”

The wedding is touted to be a private ceremony and is scheduled to happen this month end.

Congratulations to the wonderful Vanitha Vijayakumar!

On the professional front, Vanitha is currently a judge of the popular comedy show Kalakka Povathu Yaaru.
