“It’s the person that’ll make you do that,” he told Lakshmi when asked about what made him realise that he was ready to ‘settle down’. “You meet the right person and good things happen and you say go ahead,” he said with a grin.
In a twenty six minute live session, the actor spoke about how him and his fiancé have known each other for a while and their families have been good friends. The super busy individuals were born and brought up in Hyderabad and have mutual friends in Hyderabad and Mumbai. Miheeka largely works out of Mumbai while Rana frequents Mumbai for his various projects.
When asked about what prompted him to propose to his friend of many years ,Miheeka, he said,“When I met her I said [to myself] that it’s the time to do this,”the actor joked and said to Lakshmi, “I’m thinking so much in lockdown that I’m getting married,“I got pouring messages from friends and everybody, everyone was happy,” he said, when asked how his friends and loved ones took the news.
On May 12th congratulatory messages poured in as Rana announced his engagement via twitter and Instagram. The actor posted a picture with his fiancé and captioned it ‘she said yes’. An intimate rokha ceremony was held with the presence of both families.
The date of the wedding is not confirmed due to the lockdown and pandemic situation. The actor also revealed that he is working on an animated series that is said to be released on an OTT platform.
Miheeka is busy running an event management company called Dew Drop Design Studio. Her mother works in jewellery design and runs a brand along with Miheekas father.
