Mohan Rangachari, a mechanical engineer was recognised from his skits. He wrote the first play named Crazy Thieves in Paalavakkam for Natakapriya in 1976 which was a huge hit. From then on he was lovingly named Crazy Mohan. That was when Crazy Mohan along with his brother Maadhu Balaji started the troupe Crazy Creations in the year 1979. The troupe has ever since created 30 plays and has staged around 6,500 plays in India and abroad. His hit play Chocolate Krishna has been staged 500 times.
Apart from that his script for films like ‘Michael Madhana Kama Rajan’, ‘Vasool Raja’ to name a few were some of the largest hits in the humour genre.
His loss is irreplaceable and the industry paid homage to the legend!
RIP #CrazyMohan
