She has also proved that she could easily carry a film by herself as the A-List name, evidenced by triumphant features such as Maya, Dora, the excellent Aram and Kolamaavu Kokila, and looks to extend this feat with the upcoming satire Mookuthi Amman, which also marks the directorial debut of RJ Balaji, who will co-direct the film with NJ Saravanan. RJ Balaji is also responsible for the dialogue, story and screenplay.
Ahead of shooting, Nayanthara and her beau Vignesh Sivan visited the Bhagavathi Amman temple in Kanyakumari (who better to seek blessings from when the main character is the goddess herself?) and also later visited Tiruchendur to see Lord Muruga.
The temple authorities welcomed the pair warmly, allowing for photos that were shared by Vignesh Sivan that have been circulating widely throughout the internet. This is the second time recently that the pair have gone viral following pictures Nayanthara’s birthday celebration in New York that captivated her fans.
Nayanthara is back to business though for Mookuthi Amman, as she has reportedly adopted a vegetarian diet along with the rest of the team, and given up watching television and partying to fully embrace the role of Amman until the completion of the movie.
