Movies with a lot of potential that missed it by a whisker!
This movie is the only one on this list that fits perfectly, especially without any doubt. An expensive joke, the movie seemed nothing but like a parody of Rajinikanth’s Sivaji. The character arcs of Saravana and Urvashi Rautela genuinely felt like a purposeful joke, except that it was not. While the story was super predictable the movie was just unwatchable. However, amongst us, there are still some who enjoyed the film for its caricature comedy.
If characters were perfect from the beginning to the end, there would be no such thing as a character arc in a story.

2023 has been a year of blockbuster massy films, but the true winners this year are movies like these, narratives that leave an impact, and emotions so raw and real, that you are instantly connected.
At 2 hours and 45 minutes, the film did seem dragged in the second half, but at the same time, it’s packed with twists and turns and unexpected revelations.

RJ Balaji’s Sorgavaasal is a meandering prison drama but with strong characters, perfect casting and a touch of realistic writing, it hits the right doors.
Nazriya Nazim and Basil Joseph outdo each other in this well-written entertainer!
