The team of Thalaivar 168 is busy with the pre-production work as Rajinikanth is busy wrapping up Darbar which is due for the Pongal release. The latest news is that actress Meena is onboard for the Siruthai Siva directorial with Rajinikanth as the lead. The first schedule of the shoot is reported to go on floors from this month. During one of her interactions with the media, Meena was asked if she was a part of Rajinikanth’s next with director Siva. The actress responded, “I can’t talk about my presence in the film.” However, the actress has not denied her role in the fil too. Sources report that the Dhrishyam actress will be seen playing a pivotal role in the film.
Apart from that, Khushbu and Keerthy Suresh are also in talks with the team. While it has been reported that Keerthy might sport the r0le of Rajinikanth’s daughter, Khushbu is being considered to play the role of Rajinikanth’s wife.
For now, Sun Pictures which will be producing the film has confirmed actor Soori onboard. Speaking about his association with Rajinikanth, Soori, in a video message said, “My dream has come true. I’d be over the moon even I got the opportunity to take a selfie with him. But, I have now gotten the opportunity to do a full-fledged role in his film. I’m overjoyed. I thank Superstar for this golden chance.”

The film has music scored by D Imman, who has already begun composing for the film.
Rajinikanth’s next film Darbar starring Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas and Yogi Babu in the lead is being directed by AR Murugadoss and music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is touted to release during Pongal 2020.
