In a first after the announcement, Samantha took to her social media to issue a statement. On October 8th, the actor shared, “Your emotional investment into a personal crisis has overwhelmed me. Thank you all for showing deep empathy, concern and for defending me against false rumours and stories that are being spread. They say I had affairs, never wanted children, that I am an opportunist and now that I have had abortions.” She added, “A divorce in itself is an extremely painful process. Let alone allowing me the time to heal. This attack on me personally, has been relentless. But I promise you this, I will never allow this or anything they say, break me.”

Earlier, the actress also quoted Fardia D and said, “If matters are constantly morally questionable when done by women, but not even morally questioned when done by men – then we, as a society, fundamentally have no morals.”
Nowhere in the post did Samantha mention that she is referring to the divorce. But the message conveyed assumptions are made that it should be related to the recent news. SamChay divorce came at a very unexpected time when fans still had hopes for them. While for a very long time the couple did not accept the allegations and rumours, on October 2nd both the actors took to their social media to make the announcement.
Recently A source close to Samantha revealed to News18, “While Samantha in one of her fan interactions has denied moving to Mumbai, the actor is actually looking for a house in the city. She has seen a few houses in Juhu, Khar and Bandra (suburban Mumbai) and is yet to finalise it. This won’t be her permanent home and will continue to juggle between the two cities. She will continue staying in Hyderabad but will also have a new address in Mumbai.”
There is speculation that Samantha might settle in Mumbai after her success with The Family Man 2, in order to enter into the Bollywood film industry.
