How to get out of a rut!!

Declutter!!

Have you ever found yourself feeling stuck in the same routine every single day? Nothing exciting happening, nothing to look forward to, the monotony of daily life wearing you down… we’ve all been there, whether it’s because we’re lacking the motivation to step out, or because we’re tired and bored, oftentimes, we hit a wall and end up feeling suffocated and overwhelmed by the dullness of everyday life.

One thing you must remember in times like these is that nothing is permanent. In time, things will pick up and life will once again get exciting.

Here are some things you can do to get yourself out of the rut.

  • Clean and declutter your space. Cleaning doesn’t necessarily have to be a chore. It can be quite therapeutic. Throw out things that don’t serve their purpose anymore. Make your surroundings more spacious . This will also clear your mind.
  • Dedicate a day to self-care. Book an appointment at your local spa or salon. Have a pamper day. If you don’t want to spend the big bucks, have a small DIY Spa Day at home using natural ingredients. You deserve it!
  • Spend time with your loved ones. Oftentimes we’re so consumed by our careers that we forget to take the time out to meet and talk to our loved ones. Visit your family, go on a night out with you pals, spend some quality time with your kids or you S/O.
  • Go on a spontaneous holiday! Traveling can be the best stress buster. A small getaway can relieve you off all your burdens. You’ll be back feeling as refreshed as ever!
  • Step out of your comfort zone. Do the one thing that you’ve been putting off because you’re too nervous to try it. It’ll help get the adrenaline flowing. Join that cooking class, Go to that open mic. You may never know, it could open up new avenues for you.
  • Take the risk. Only if you take certain risks will your life move forward. It’s obviously important to weigh the pros and cons, but if it’s worth it, just take the plunge.

Try not to take life so seriously. The aim isn’t to get to a destination, but to enjoy the journey while it lasts.
