Oviya hosted a question-answer session with her fans on Twitter and one of them had a rather uncomfortable and a disgusting question to ask the actress. He tweeted, “Hey Item (slut), what are you even going to do getting married?”
We have always loved how Oviya has been very outspoken about her life and herself. She has always been strong about defending herself and her emotions. But, we are not sure how we feel about this answer of hers. She tweeted, “Item Ungamma (Your mother is a slut).”
We agree that this was a comeback as we could her fans rejoicing a reply and also a good way to shut down trolls. But, why does a comeback always have to shame another woman? Take Priya Anand or Sameera Reddy for example who were body-shamed and abused by trolls and they had a response that had a lot of self-confidence and also, it demeaned the person that trolled them.
If we we think that by trolling another woman we are getting back at troll, the it’s not the right qay to give it back or shut down an annoying person who has no business other than abusing women. Bring him down, tear him to pieces but by bringing down another woman, isn’t a great way to do it.
