Directed by Pawan Kumar, Samantha’s U-turn is an engaging watch filled with mind-blowing twists and turns. The story revolves around Rachana (Samantha), an intern journalist investigating an incident that takes place on a specific flyover which soon turns into a nightmare as all the people who violate a small traffic regulation by taking a U-Turn on a closed road end up dead by committing suicide, one after another. Rachana’s involvement in the investigation gets her entangled in a series of mysteries, troubles, and accusations. How will Rachana prove her innocence and figure out the reason behind the suicide forms the rest of the film. The movie beautifully depicts how even a little harmless act can cause all hell to break loose. Samantha’s characterization in the movie is bold, independent and very much scared by all the mysterious phenomena happening around her but still goes out of her ways to seek truth and saves lives

Disclaimer to faint hearts, this psychological thriller is an intense one to watch. With Ashwin Saravanan’s perfect execution and Tapsee’s dynamic and convincing performance, the movie will have you at the edge of your seats. The plot revolves around Swapna, a game developer with severe PTSD from being sexually assaulted, as a result of her PTSD Swapna is terrified of darkness but to her misfortune, she is soon put into situations where she has to befriend darkness in order to survive. With a traumatic past, a serial killer on the loose, her anniversary reaction( a condition which triggers memories from a traumatic event on its anniversary), and three mysterious tattoos, Swapna has a lot to cope up with but lucky for her she’s got three lives. Snegithiye is an underrated masterpiece way ahead of its time. In an era where female agency in movies was almost non-existent, Priyadarshan decided to break the norms by making a murder mystery revolving around female characters. The movie predominantly revolves around Vasu and Radhika, two best friends pursuing their education in a reputed women’s college in the City. When Radhika’s Aunt, Malathi forces her to marry someone, the duo comes up with a plan to escape the arrangement by making Malathi believe that she already has a boyfriend. This harmless plan soon turns ugly when this made-up boyfriend, Ramesh, enters their life and gets killed by someone when he meets the girls. The movie celebrates female friendship and empowerment and has a dazzling cast including Jyotika, Sharbani Mukherjee, and Tabu in the main roles and Lakshmi, Manorama, Sukumar, Prema Narayanan, and Ishitta Arun.

Just as the title implies the movie doesn’t let you blink! Directed by the Demonte Colony fame Ajaya Gnanamuthu, Immaika Nodigal has the right mix of everything, action, romance, drama, and suspense. When a serial killer named ‘Rudra’ who was presumed to be dead resurfaces and goes on a murdering spree, IPS, Anjali Vikramaditya, (Nayanthara) who was in charge of Rudra’s case a few years ago is reappointed to deal with him. ‘Who is Rudra ?’, well that might be a shocker for you cause Rudra has more than one identity and bunch of buried secrets. To know Rudra’s real identity, watch the movie! The movie has a versatile star cast including Nayanthara, Atharvaa Raashii Khanna, Vijay Sethupathi, Manasvi Kottachi, and Anurag Kashyap who have done absolute justice to their roles. Hip Hop Tamizha’s music score also enhances the whole movie experience.

Sanni Kaayidham is a revenge thriller that revolves around Ponni, a former police constable whose husband and daughter were brutally murdered by Upper caste men driven by hate. Devasted from loss and let down by law, Ponni decides to get her own justice with the help of her Half brother Sangayya, who is also a victim of Casteism. The duo team up and take down 24 people who are responsible for their family’s lives. Brutal ,one might think but not as brutal as the opperssion and discrimation faced by the voiceless subaltern community on daily basis.

When Regina’s husband gets killed during a bank heist, she decides to avenge him and get her revenge by targetting her husband’s killers. The rest of the film is about how she executes her revenge and gets justice for her husband in her own ways. The movie is directed by Domin D. Silva with Sunaina as the main lead and Ananth Nag, Rithu Manthra, Nivas Adithan, Vivek Prasanna and Bava Chelladurai playing the supporting roles.
