It is a known fact that Dhanush and Trisha are close friends and have been in the industry for nearly two decades. Rajinikanth’s fans were over the moon when Dhansuh announced that he will be producing Thalaivar’s next movie after Shankar’s Enthiran 2.0. Dhanush also said that the movie will be directed by Pa. Ranjith of Kabali fame.

The buzz was that Amala Paul was considered to play the heroine in the film, but now the latest contender is Trisha! The Kodi actress has done movies with all top heroes and has always reiterated her desire to act with the Superstar.

If Trisha bags this coveted role, she will become one of the very few heroines who have acted in both Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth’s films. Kamal and Rajini rarely repeat each others female leads and the last one to do so was Jyothika who acted with Kamal in Thenali, Vettaiyadu Villayadu and with Rajinikanth in Chandramukhi.

None of the new generation actors have got the chance to work with both the stalwarts of Indian cinema. Trisha has done Manmadhan Ambu and Thoongavanam with Kamal Haasan. While her rival Nayanthara has made Chandramukhi, Kuselan and a song in Shivaji with Superstar Rajinikanth.
