The Tamil Remake of the Hindi hit film Queen has been on several director’s minds for a while now. However, actor director and producer Thiagarjan went on to obtain the remake rights of the film. He had obtained film rights to remake the bollywood hit in South Indian Languages in the year 2014, but only now has the project began to unfold. Earlier, it was reported that Trisha will be playing the protagonist of the film.

However, sources now report that, the remake will be directed by Veteran actress Revathy, with screenplay and dialogues by another popular actor-director Suhasini. Tamannaah will be playing the lead role. Trisha was earlier approached, but since there were too many issues with her schedule, the actress reportedly backed off. It has also been reported that Nayanthara was approached with an offer of 10 crores for the film but the actress denied to be a part of it, considering her busy schedule.
