The first look of the much-awaited film ‘Vikram Vedha’ starring R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi is out and it looks rather thrilling and absolutely extravagant. The South Indian heartthrob will be playing the role of an intense cop ‘Vikramadithya’ who will fight ‘Vedha’ the gangster played by Vijay Sethupati. The film will be directed by Pushkar and co – directed by his wife Gayathri. Most of the shooting is done and they are nearing the wrap – up phase. The movie also has Shraddha Srinath and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in pivotal roles.

Madhavan will be sporting the role of an intense cop. The muscular macho played the role of a boxing coach in his last movie ‘Irudhi Suttru’ which was a blockbuster. His rugged look was a hit amongst his women fans and his acting won many laurels. “Madhavan started studying his character months in advance. Physically Madhavan lost all the bulky muscle mass of his boxer look for this movie. We put our heads together and got him a new haircut after some research and consultation with a top hairstylist. He had to shed the floppy curls for this film since his haircut had to reflect his seriousness. He will also have a stubble all through,” said director Pushkar about Madhavan’s preparation for the role.
