Taapsee Pannu Replaced By Star Kid; Here’s Her Response!

OMG!

A few days back, Taapsee Pannu shared a picture of herself looking rather regal with a staunch expression on her face. Her expression said it all – “bring it on!” Her caption implied that she has a lot going and she cannot be bothered by those who don’t give her the respect she deserves.

Turns out, she was unceremoniously dropped from a film that she was scheduled to be a part of. The Bollywood film ‘Pati, Patni Aur Woh’ had her in the lead. However, two days back, a picture surfaced showing the new cast of the film – Karthik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ananya Pandey. The latter, the daughter of Chunky Pandey, replaced the ‘Pink’ actress. But she did not let it go so easily.

Speaking to numerous news outlets, Taapsee voiced out her frustration at how disgraceful it was to drop an actress from a film without having the decency to inform them.

“I was at the narration in November, in the presence of Juno and Abhay (Chopra, the producer). I liked the script and gave it a go-ahead. I was asked to clear my schedule and I complied. Only the clauses remained to be negotiated. But suddenly, they vanished,” she is quoted saying. When asked what the reason was for her being dropped from the project, she said that even the director Mudassar Aziz was not told a reason. “He was just asked to take someone else’. When I tried to confront the producers, I wasn’t given a proper reason. As much as I have been trying to get some clarity on the matter, they’ve been putting off the conversation, which is very weird.”

However, this doesn’t bog her down. Taapsee, who had a thriving year in 2018 alone with Manmarziyaan, Soorma, Mulk and others. She has Tamil-Telugu film Game Over in the pipeline and Mission Mangal.
