Velaiyilla Pattathari saw Dhanush playing a role that many youngsters could relate to. The film was a box office success and showed Amala Paul playing the love interest of Dhanush. Today, Dhanush took to twitter to announce that fans can expect the sequel for the hit film VIP. The film will be produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu’s V creations and Wunderbar Films.

The sequel is to be directed by Soundarya Rajnikanth and the shooting is to start from December 2016. However, as far as the music for the film is concerned, Dhanush has mentioned Sean Roldan and Anirudh Ravichander in his tweet and it’s not clear as to who the music director will be. Should we expect a collaboration?
Meanwhile, there is no information if Soundarya’s alleged directorial venture Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam is put on hold or dropped.
