10. Nayanthara in Kolamaavu Kokila: It may not necessarily be a woman-centric film but it sure was Nayanthara’s show all the way. Her character was simple yet so powerful that Kokila could literally take down any man who misbehaves with her and save herself effortlessly from any situation. She had it in her to be a girl with absolute courage and wit.
2023 has been a year of blockbuster massy films, but the true winners this year are movies like these, narratives that leave an impact, and emotions so raw and real, that you are instantly connected.
At 2 hours and 45 minutes, the film did seem dragged in the second half, but at the same time, it’s packed with twists and turns and unexpected revelations.
