Mahanti the film is out and we cannot be more excited! This biopic on the life of yesteryear actress Savitri has been eagerly awaited for a while now. Keerthy Suresh will be playing the role of Savitri and Dulquer Salmaan will play her husband Gemini Ganesh. The story of Savitri is to be narrated through the eyes of Samantha in Mahanati. Telugu actor Vijay Devarakonda will also be playing a crucial part in the movie. Naga Chaitanya will play the role of his own grandfather, the late Akkineni Nageswara Rao in the film. The movie is directed by the famous filmmaker Nag Ashwin, known for his movie, Yevade Subramanyam. The film is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and will be released simultaneously in both Telugu and Tamil as Mahanati and Nadigayar Thilagam respectively.
