Ponniyan Selvan is one of the much-awaited and spoken movies of late due to its ensemble of actors and storyline. The movie as the name suggests is based on the fictional novel Ponniyan Selvan written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The movie casts Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Vikram Prabhu, and many more playing major roles in the movie. The movie has music composed by Oscar-winning A.R. Rahman with a huge budget of 500 Crores INR. This historical drama is directed and co-produced by Mani Rathnam under his production house Madras Talkies alongside Lyca Productions.
To please their fans, Lyca productions took to their Instagram handle to reveal the update of the first part of the movie. The poster revealed that the filming of the movie has been completed and phase 1 of the movie is said to rock the screens in the summer of 2022.
