Padmaavat cannot be banned says SC!

The movie is all set to release next Thursday

On the orders of Supreme Court, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat will release in all states next week on Thursday, Jan 25th. The movie starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh is based on a fictional poem of the same name has been mired in controversies from the day it began. Based on a writ petition filed by the makers of Padmaavat because of the film being banned in four states- Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan the SC has come to the decision that the screening of the movie can be banned in a particular area only in relation to the law and order in that area. One cannot impose a complete ban. Minister Anil Vij had tweeted that Padmaavat was banned in Haryana. Vij tweeted, “Film Padmavati/Padmaavat banned in Haryana.”
