During the big finale of the reality show Bigg Boss, not only did Kamal Haasan announce his entry into politics but also his next venture that is Indian 2! Kamal and Shankar will be uniting for the project after a very long time and the film is taken on by Lyca Productions. The film will be a multi-lingual with Anirudh on board as the composer as A R Rahman was unable to schedule dates for the project. Kamal will reprise the role of freedom fighter cum vigilante Senapathy, who was fondly known as ‘Indian Thatha’. Rumours now have it that Nayanthara will be roped in to play the female lead in the project. If the same is true the actress will be one of the few heroines who has acted as a low interest for both Superstar and Ulaganayagan!

Director Shankar began Indian 2 was last seen flying a Chinese lantern up in Taiwan signalling the beginning of Indian 2. Shankar will start working on the same as soon as he finishes work on 2.0.
