Meet Nagarjuna’s Ex-Wife Lakshmi Daggubati, Her Love Story And How It Ended!

They married young!

Nagarjuna is a huge star down South and has been maintaining his stardom for decades now. Throughout his profession, his personal life has always been out in the open. Nagarjuna is a happy family man today with two lovely sons and his loving wife. And oh boy, could you believe it? This fantastic actor turns 60 this year. He looks super young and stunning, doesn’t he? Nagarjuna and Lakshmi Daggubati have been very cordial and great friends too. Co-parenting Naga Chaitanya, they made sure their divorce wouldn’t affect the child.

Nagarjuna and Lakshmi Daggubati’s wedding was an arranged marriage. He married Lakshmi before he became a hero in the year 1984. Nageshwara Rao and Ramanaidu Daggubati were best friends and hence, decided to get their kids married to each other. In the year 1986, Lakshmi gave birth to Naga Chaitanya. However, post that their relationship hit a very rough road and the couple parted ways to get a divorce in the year 1990. At that same time, Nagarjuna was doing a lot of films in the late 80s with Amala Akkineni. The couple eventually fell in love and while travelling Nagarjuna proposed to Amala Akkineni. The couple married in the year 1992.

Amala gave birth to Akhil Akkineni in the year 1994 and the couple has ever since made sure that both Naga Chaitanya and Akhil spent time with each other. As they are entering the 26th year of their marriage, Nagarjuna added that his love for Amala only grows as years passed by.

Lakshmi Daggubati is a terrific entrepreneur today and a great mom to Naga Chaitanya. The actor, in several interviews has opened up about how close he is to his mother and his wife Samatha gets along really well with her too. Samantha has talked about how strong a woman she is and how she is terrific in what she does. Well, looks like all good in the hood!

On the professional front, Nagarjuna might soon be doing a Kollywood film under Dhanush’s directorial also starring Aditi Rao Hydari.
