Mahanti the film is all wrapped up and set to release soon! This biopic on the life of yesteryear actress Savitri has been eagerly awaited for a while now. Keerthy Suresh will be playing the role of Savitri and Dulquer Salmaan will play her husband Gemini Ganesh. The story of Savitri is to be narrated through the eyes of Samantha in Mahanati. Telugu actor Vijay Devarakonda will also be playing a crucial part in the movie. It has now been revealed that Naga Chaitanya will play the role of his own grandfather, the late Akkineni Nageswara Rao in the film.
The movie will be directed by the famous filmmaker Nag Ashwin, known for his movie, Yevade Subramanyam. The film is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and will be made simultaneously in both Telugu and Tamil. Keerthy Suresh shared a very emotional reaction wrapping up the last day of the shoot:
