The couple got hitched in on 9th September 2021 at a popular 5-star Resort in ECR, Chennai. They had two weddings in two different types, one the traditional Tamil wedding during the day and the other is the Sindhi style with a beachfront in the evening which was followed by a reception. They also had a Roka ceremony – which is a pre-engagement ceremony done in the Punjabi and Sindhi cultures took place last year in August 2020.
These love birds have been quite traumatized due to COVID-19, having to date via long video calls and planning their dream weddings all were chaos. Their wedding date had been pushed twice. “We were ready to get married before the pandemic, but the delay taught us how to be more responsible and patient”, says Vidyu. And they finally decided to get married once the COVID-19 cases dropped.
