Kamal Haasan And The Women In His Life!

Kamal Haasan’s personal life has been in the public eye for a long time now. Kamal who started out his career in films as a child artist, attained stardom early in his life. Kamal has been a man of words and has never failed to express his thoughts in public forums. His modern approach to relationships and marriage has always been a topic of interest among the film fraternity. His live-in partner for 11 years, Gautami has announced that the couple are no longer together and have separated. She said it was the most difficult and devastating decision she had to make in her life. The veteran actress had pointed out difference of opinion between them is the reason for the split. This is Gautami’s second split and Kamal’s third.

 

Kamal Haasan married Vani Ganapathy, an Indian classical dancer in 1978 when he was 24. The duo were separated 10 years later in 1988 when Kamal began living together with actress Sarika. Their first daughter Shruti Haasan was born in 1986 after which the couple got married and had their second daughter Akshara Haasan in 1991.

 

Kamal and Sarika split in 2004 reportedly after Haasan had a affair with co-star Simran Bagga. Simran, 22 years younger than him, made two films (Pammal K Sambandham and Panchathanthiram) with Kamal.

 

Gautami Tadimalla, a close friend of Kamal, who starred along with him in many films began living together with Kamal in 2005 after her first marriage ended in divorce in 1999. Subbalakshmi, Gautami’s daughter, Shruti and Akshara Haasan were all living together. On November 1st, Gautami announced that she is splitting from Kamal due to difference of opinion.
