Kaashmora has Karthi in three roles. The present day Karthi (Kaashmora) is a black magic healer who makes his living by cheating innocent people making them believe in ghosts and paranormal entities. He along with his family masters the art of deception and this is where things start to get exciting. However, the film goes on a downward (yet hilarious) spiral when he comes across a palace that houses an actual ghost.

In the other role, Karthi plays Raj Nayak, a brave warrior who has unfinished business with Rathnamahadevi (Nayanthara). Raj Nayak is known for his valour but women are his weakness. He kills Rathnamahadevi’s father and brother and forcefully marries her. Mahadevi on the other hand seduces him and plans to kill him. Just when he is about to die, Raj Nayak drives a sword into Mahadevi, making their battle continue decades later. In his third role, Karthi’s performance is stellar and should be the one you watch the movie for.
