JFW Exclusive: Simran Opens Up About Chandramukhi 2

Here’s what the actress has to say!

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Chandramukhi which released in 2005 was a much talked about film of that year. The film which also starred Jyotika, Prabhu and Nayanthara in prominent roles was a remake of the Malayalam superhit, Manichitrathazhu. Recently, it was announced that its sequel, Chandramukhi 2 is being planned and Raghava Lawrence  would be sporting the lead role in the film. It is currently being speculated that actress Simran would take on the role of the female lead in the film. Chandramukhi 2 will also be directed by P Vasu and Raghava Lawrence is said to sport the role of Rajinikanth’s famous Vettaiyan Raja.

It was rumored that Simran has been reportedly approached by the team. However, in an exclusive interaction with JFW, Simran dismissed the rumor saying that nobody has spoken to her about the film. “I really don’t know from where these rumors start, no one has spoken to me about Chandramuki 2.” confirmed the actress.

It is a known fact that Simran was the first to be approached to play the lead in ‘Chandramukhi’ when the film was first released almost fifteen years back. It is said that she also shot a few scenes. It was a few months after her wedding to Deepak Bagga and she discovered that she was pregnant and could not continue the film.

However, we have dearly missed Simran doing a full-fledged film onscreen yet. Although her screentime in Petta was short, the audience couldn’t take their eyes off the screen. Simran’s elegance when she dances and the way she expresses breathing life into every character given to her is a rarity.

Simran has recently stared her very own YouTube channel. It is a known fact that she loves dancing and Simran will interact with her fans through her videos. Her videos will talk about her love for dancing, acting and also, juggling multiple roles. Simran will talk about her life, family, career, dance to name a few and lastly, to bridge the gap between her fans and herself.
