Now that we have successfully tackled the Covid-19 virus, people have once again started flocking to theatres in large numbers. Filmmakers are also releasing their films in theatres and then releasing them on OTT platforms at a later date, to cater to both kinds of audiences. Even as theatre owners are starting to make business, here are 5 films releasing this week in theatres! Choose your film and grab some popcorn!

 

  1. Yashoda:

Starring Samantha and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in lead roles, Yashoda is a Telugu-language science fiction action thriller film written-directed by Hari–Harish and produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad, under Sridevi Movies. It also stars Unni Mukundan, Divya Sripada and Murali Sharma in supporting roles. The trailer showed a young woman named Yashoda who decides to become a surrogate mother in exchange for money. However, she learns about illegal activities regarding surrogate mothers and decides to bring them to justice. Samantha’s performance seems power-packed in the film. The movie revolves around Samantha’s character ‘Yashodha’ and is all about her story. This Telugu movie is all set to release in theatres on Nov 4th.

 

2. Coffee With Kadhal:

Starring an ensemble cast consisting of Jiiva, Jai, Srikanth, Malvika Sharma, Amritha Aiyer, Raiza Wilson, Aishwarya Dutta and Dhivya Dharshini, Coffee With Kadhal is a romantic comedy family drama. Directed by Sundar C, the film is produced by Khushbu, A. C. S. Arun Kumar and A. C. Shanmugam under the banner of Avni Cinemax and Benzz Media (P) Ltd. The film’s music and score are composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with cinematography handled by E. Krishnasamy and editing done by Fenny Oliver. While the movie’s plotline is not revealed, the movie is considered one of Sundar C’s comedy and romantic drama films. This Tamil movie is all set to release in theatres on Nov 4th.

 

3. Nitham Oru Vaanam:

Starring Ashok Selvan, Ritu Varma, Aparna Balamurali, Sivathmika and Sshivada in lead roles, Nitham Oru Vaanam is directed by debutante Ra. Karthik. This Tamil Romantic-drama is produced by Viacom 18 Studios and Rise East. The film’s music is composed by Gopi Sundar while the editing is done by Anthony. Initially, the movie was titled Vaan and was supposed to star Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the movie was temporarily shelved. Then Ashok Selvan was announced as the lead and the rest of the cast was also fixed. This Tamil movie is all set to hit theatres on Nov 4th.

 

4. Love Today:

Love Today trailer out, Pradeep Ranganathan's acting debut promises a  fun-filled ride- Cinema express

Directed by Comali fame Pradeep Ranganathan, Love Today is a youth entertainer starring himself and Ivana in lead roles. The movie also stars Sathyaraj, Yogi Babu and Radhika in lead roles. The film revolves around a couple who are asked to exchange their smartphones for a day. What they find in their phones, and how that affects their relationship forms the rest of the story. The trailer posed an interesting concept to the audience. This film is helmed by AGS productions while the music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. This Tamil movie is all set to hit theatres on Nov 4th.

 

5. Saturday Night:

Nivin Pauly's next with Rosshan Andrrews titled Saturday Night; First look  out

Saturday Night is an Indian Malayalam-language comedy-drama film directed by Rosshan Andrrews and produced by Vinayaka Ajith, under Ajith Vinayaka Films. It stars Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese, Siju Wilson, and Saiju Kurup in the lead roles. The movie revolves around four friends who reunite to find the fourth, Stanley to be completely different and mysterious and they are set on a journey that explores the mysterious character and discovers the true meaning of friendship. Jakes Bejoy composed the songs for the film while Shivanandeeswaran handled the edit. This Malayalam movie is all set to release in theatres on Nov 4th.
